published: Friday | October 8, 2004

CALBERT LOPEZ and Seron Weller shared six goals as Porus crushed Belair 11-0 in the Pepsi/Sports Plus daCosta Cup competition at the Porus Community Centre yesterday.

Lopez and Weller netted a hat-trick apiece. Sherdown Green and Kemar Clarke were also on the score sheet, netting a brace each while Adrian Saunders got the other for joint leaders Porus, who moved to 13 points, the same as Bellefield, who defeated DeCarteret 1-0.

The day's other big winners were Mile Gully and Cedric Titus. They scored 6-0 wins over Christiana and Aabuthnott Gallimore respectively.

In eastern Jamaica, last year's beaten finalists, Titchfield, moved a step closer to the inter-zone round when they tagged St. Thomas Technical 1-0 at Carder Park.
