Boys' Brigade to relaunch, revitalise
THE BOYS' Brigade of Jamaica has planned a relaunch of its programme, with an aim to revitalise itself and increase its membership.

Gov't scraps voucher system, allots cash
THE GOVERNMENT has scrapped plans to issue almost $1 billion dollars in building supply vouchers and will, instead, begin next week to present cheques to victims whose homes were damaged during last month's passage of Hurricane Ivan.


Hurricane Ivan victims to be relocated
WATER AND Housing Minister, Donald Buchanan, disclosed on Tuesday that the Government is taking steps to acquire 50 acres of privately owned lands in Portland Cottage, Clarendon, for the relocation of residents severely affected by Hurricane Ivan.


Woman on murder charge remanded
JANET DOUGLAS, a 31-year-old cosmetologist of Ziadie Gardens, St. Andrew, who is accused of murdering a policeman's wife in November 2001, is to return to the Home Circuit Court tomorrow when a trial date will be set.
