War on extortion - Kgn's Mayor McKenzie to launch campaign
DESPITE THREATS against his life, Mayor Desmond McKenzie has served notice that he will be launching an assault against extortionists in his latest to attempt to revive the downtown Kingston commercial district.

'Kingfish' nabs go-fast boats
'OPERATION KINGFISH', the new crime plan, yesterday netted 28 go-fast boats suspected of being used in the trafficking of illegal drugs. Six persons were taken into custody in Trelawny and St. James.


Vegetables imported to ease shortfall
A 40-FOOT container load of imported vegetables is expected to arrive in the island early next month, to compensate for the shortfall of local produce in the aftermath of Hurricane Ivan.
