LETTER OF THE DAY - Government's 'debt' to society
THE EDITOR, Sir: HAVING WITNESSED on both major television stations reports of a massive fire that took place on Ricketts Avenue in Maxfield Park, recently I am quite annoyed with the behaviour of some victims as they cry out for help.

A Jamaican tragedy
THE EDITOR, Sir: EDWARD SEAGA is a good man. He certainly did a great job keeping these bunch of jokers and warring factions together as a party.

UWI's double standards
THE EDITOR, Sir: IT IS with alarm that I watched and listened to the recent confusion on the Mona campus.

Good job, JPS more still to be done
THE EDITOR, Sir: The Jamaica Public Service must be commended for the great job they are doing in trying to restore electricity to affected areas as a result of Hurricane Ivan.

Music and homosexuals
THE EDITOR, Sir: I CANNOT understand the issues and conflicts between our dancehall artistes and the homosexual community. There should be no conflict whatsoever.

FTC: all bark, no bite?
THE EDITOR, Sir: I ATTACH a copy of a letter to the Fair Trading Commission and their response dated June 30, 2004 regarding single-axle trucks being charged the same cost as multi-axled trailers.
