Problem with patois is in writing it
THE EDITOR, Sir: IT IS interesting to note that quite a number of persons in our society have been advocating for patois to be taught in school and one wonders why when every Jamaican from inside the very womb is able to speak patois.

Fixing a failed system
THE EDITOR, Sir: THE RECENT revelations by Dr. Ralph Thompson about the CXC results while shocking, are even more so when one considers that these students are the first fruit of the Grade Six Achievement Test (GSAT) system.

On helping murderers
THE EDITOR, Sir: THE ARTICLE by Dr. Garth Rattray should be required reading by all Jamaicans, especially the part that relates to people providing psychological and other support to these murderers...

Customer relations are important
THE EDITOR, Sir: I AM of West Indian origin and own a grocery store in South London where many Jamaicans live. I sell ethnic foods including West Indian foods such as canned ackees.
