Letter of the day - What do protest marches achieve?
THE EDITOR Sir: WHEN THE various media houses shall have compiled their customary 'Year in Review,' many of us will relive moments of horror, as much is made of the bloodiest year in our nation's history.
Lyrics ban prejudiced
THE EDITOR Sir: I HAVE read a lot about the various artistes' performances being cancelled due to their lyrics being seen as inciting violence on all sorts of people. The odd thing is that this ban is only on blacks and West Indians.
Help our craft vendors
THE EDITOR, Sir: I AM very concerned about the way that we are treating our craft vendors and I feel that something must be done about correcting this grave situation regarding visits to the markets by cruise ship passengers.
Constant system of support needed
THE EDITOR, Sir: THIS IS in response to the article entitled 'Many parents in the dark on sex' dated Tuesday November 16, 2004. A comprehensive and extensive programme does exist for teaching parents how to talk to their children about sex.
Congratulations, Court of Appeal
THE EDITOR, Sir: I OFFER my congratulations on the recent appointment made of Mr. Justice Raymund King to the Supreme Court and Mrs. Justice Zaila McCalla to act as Court of Appeal Judge.
The way forward for the JLP
THE EDITOR, Sir: "UNLESS THE Lord builds the house in vain do its builders labour" Psalm 127 verse 1.
