THE EDITOR, Sir:
IT IS a good thing that we can scrutinise the policies of the prospective JLP leaders. But ever since my sojourn in the USA and wider world, I now realise that the Jamaican media is one of the best in terms of reporting fair and accurate news. I do hope that the same kind of scrutiny will be given to policies and plans of the prospective leaders of the PNP.
To this writer, I believe that it is gross cowardice on the men in the JLP that only two 'old vets' Messrs. Golding and Charles can stand and be counted to lead Jamaica and its people to better days. This is very unfortunate. The party is still not as dynamic as it ought to be.
One has to step outside of his/her closeted space and experience to realise that Jamaica is still a wonderful place and to love it. Therefore we must try to give its leadership to persons who truly care for the people. Men and women who realise the will of God, and want to do the will of God. Men and women who can be steadfast in prayer and in doing right and not seeking vainglory.
A leader must rise up who truly knows the Lord. I give utterance to these words in the name of Jesus.
I am, etc.,
