MORIN SEYMOUR, the executive director of the Kingston Restoration Company (KRC), has been nominated to receive the Prestigious Alumnus Award from the Graziadio School of Business and Management, Pepperdine University, in California, U.S.A.
Nominees for this award are selected based on their outstanding professional accomplishments, the contribution they have made to the society at large, as well as their positive support to the Graziadio School.
Mr. Seymour told The Gleaner yesterday that being nominated for the award has made him extremely proud.
"I really feel good to be recognised by a school that has graduated thousands. To know that I am one of only 60 persons to receive this award makes me feel really proud," said Mr. Seymour, who graduated from Pepper-dine in 1972.
The Vere Technical High School old boy's relationship with Pepper-dine did not end with his graduation however, as in 1988 his daughter began her course of study at the Graziadio School and like her father, later graduated with an MBA.
Mr. Morin will be presented with the Alumnus Award on December 11 at a ceremony which will be held at the school's Malibu campus.
