Jamaica Gleaner In Focus
published: Sunday | November 28, 2004

The gay debate - more heat than light
IT IS nigh impossible to have a serious, reasoned and informed discussion on homosexuality in Jamaica. The degree of prejudice, blind rage, ignorance, intellectual dishonesty and muddled thinking which surround the issue is appalling. (Boyne)

Xenophobia or homophobia: which is the greater danger?
THE GOVERNMENT, police, church and media have sufficiently rejected the report of Human Rights Watch and its surrogate organisations on grounds that it is unsubstantiated, confrontational, and disrespectful of Jamaica and its values. (Buddan)

Self-righteousness and human sexuality
THE EDITORIAL in the November 22, 2004 edition of The Gleaner discussed sex education for parents. (Simms)
