Misguided academics
published: Sunday | November 28, 2004

THE EDITOR, Sir:

THE UNITED States Human Rights Watch group and their Jamaican counterparts are misguided academics. The Bible declared that God's people are destroyed because of the lack of knowledge because they do not know how to distinguish the holy from unholy.

The scriptures emphatically state that man shall not lie with mankind. No man should have sexual relations with another man. It is sexual immorality. I believed that these human rights groups would have better served their purposes by lobbying with their gay rights movements to build a HIV nursing home for persons who are in need of such care.

I am the manager of a health care facility and have been getting calls to offer nursing care and accommodation for some of the individuals. The important factor is that there needs to be a specialised facility that will offer specialist care for individuals so inclined.

I am, etc.,

H. WILLIAMS
