RGD woes
published: Monday | November 29, 2004

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I WENT to the Registrar General Department for a birth paper on June 30, 2004 and I haven't received it up until now.

I called the RGD on August 20. I waited on the phone from 11:05 to 11:33 when someone finally answered. I said thank God and I explained to her why I called. She said she needed all the information. I gave it to her, she said it is very late and I would be getting it the following Thursday which was August 26. I wait the whole week nothing. I went in person on 1st October 2004.

The lady tell me I should receive it on October 28, 2004. It's almost Christmas and I still haven't received the birth paper I applied for from so long. When I first applied, they told me it's a six weeks service but it's almost six months.

I am, etc,
