PATRICK HYLTON has been appointed National Commercial Bank's (NCB) new group managing director. Chairman Michael Lee Chin and the board of directors have announced that the appointment would be effective from yesterday.
Patrick Hylton replaces Aubyn Hill in the post. Mr. Hill resigned on November 25, with his resignation becoming effective on December 1. When that announcement was made on November 25, the board had stated that Mr. Hylton, then the deputy group managing director, would have assumed the post of acting group managing director on December 1.
Mr. Hylton has served NCB in the capacity of deputy managing director since June of 2003.
He was the head of FINSAC for five years with responsibility for the rehabilitation and divestment of financial institutions and assets acquired by the government, following the country's financial sector fallout.
