Kudos for Karl Samuda

THE EDITOR, Sir:
I THINK Karl Samuda, general secretary of the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) finally earned some kudos, for his involvement in settling the dispute between, the two candidates, for JLP leadership Messrs Pearnel Charles and Bruce Golding.
I wish the JLP a healthy contest and we do hope, the divisive reasoning among fellow Labourites will now subside. It has been 30 years since there has been a leadership change in the JLP. The little hitch, in Mr. Charles exercising his constitutional right to ensure that what he had considered to be equal rights and justice, is not to be sniffed at by reasonable folks.
We must commend both candidates for coming forward in their attempt to lead the JLP and for that matter to lead Jamaica too.
I am, etc.,
