for FIFA gala
Crenston Boxhill, president of the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF), and his General Secretary, Burchell Gibson, have been invited by FIFA's President, Sepp Blatter, to attend the 2004 World Player Gala set for Monday in Zurich, Switzerland. The two will also attend a meeting of the 'Copa de Las Antilles' (Antilles Cup) along with representatives of other Caribbean federations. They leave the island tomorrow.

Happy Grove hammered Aabuthnott Gallimore 7-0 as second-round action in the ISSA/Malta Under-16 high schoolboy football competition got under way this week. In other matches, Denbigh defeated Charlemont 3-1, Rusea's beat Spaldings 4-0, Cedric Titus stopped Morant Bay 3-1, Vere beat Old Harbour 2-1 while Godfrey Stewart and STETHS ended 0-0. In the Urban section, Bridgeport defeated Norman Manley 3-0, St. George's went down 4-1 to Calabar, Wolmer's crushed Dunoon 5-1, Campion stopped Waterford 2-1 and KC edged JC 1-0.
U-15 cricket camp
Jamaica started its preparations for the 2005 West Indies Under-15 tournament on Tuesday with a training camp at Munro College in St. Elizabeth. The camp runs until Wednesday.
