A JCF role model
published: Friday | December 31, 2004

THE EDITOR, Sir:

IN TODAY'S Jamaica, when mostly the negatives are reported, I feel compelled to state my recognition of the positive image created by Constable M. Graham from the Hunts Bay police station for quick response.

On Monday, December 6, 2004, while driving on the Spanish Town Road, a mini bus with passengers to Waterhouse, hit my car and pulled off the front bumper. He did not stop, so I chased him and blocked his vehicle when he stopped to let out a passenger.

I wrote the licence plate number, then went to the Hunts Bay Police Station and reported it to Constable M. Graham. On the 8 of December of the said week Mr. Graham called me to the police station and the matter was clarified, although the man who drove the bus is still on the run, the owner was contacted.

I would like to say how grateful I am to this role model of the Jamaica Constabulary Force and other officers who toil bravely and soberly in their line of duties.

I am, etc.,

BRIGITTE A. FOREMAN

Customs Liaison Officer, (N.I.B.)
