Condolence book set up at Thai Consulate

IN THE wake of Sunday's devastation by tsunamis on Thailand and other countries, Mrs. Thalia Lyn, the Honorary Consul General of the Kingdom of Thailand, has set up a condolence book for persons to sign at the Royal Thai Consulate office at 2 Valentine Drive, Kingston 19, from Thursday, December 30, 2004 to Wednesday, January 5, 2005, between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Donations can be made at the National Commercial Bank, account #351-029-749.

A relief fund also has been set up for victims of the tsunami in Sri Lanka, in whose benefit a fund-raising brunch will be held on January 2 at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel, New Kingston. Contributions can be made to the fund at account #808050 at the Bank of Nova Scotia, Hagley Park branch.
