FORMER WORLD Indoor 400m champion Sandie Richards and Vonette Dixon are down to participate at today's Millrose Games at Madison Square Garden in New York.

Representing Puma, Richards, winner of the 1993 World Indoor, will face DeeDee Trotter, Olympic and world championships 4x400m gold medallist, Adidas' Nicole Leach and Kia Davis of Holyfield International as well as this year's United States high school indoor 400m No.1 athlete Nicole Leach.

Richards is the holder of Jamaica's 400m indoor record (50.93) and a five-time Olympian. Dixon, the 2002 Commonwealth Games 100-metre hurdles silver medalist, will participate in the 60-metre hurdles.

She will face two-time Olympic bronze medallist and four-time U.S. indoor runner-up Melissa Morrison-Howard, 2000 European Cup champion Linda Ferga-Khodadin, Canadian Angela Whyte and this year's leader in the 60m hurdles Danielle Carruthers.

Olympic Games sprint relay gold medallist Tayna Lawrence was down for the meet but pulled out.

Olympic Games 200m silver medallist Allyson Felix, who is also the 2003 U.S.A. indoor 200m champion and LaTasha Colander, America's 100m champion, will contest the women's 60m while Allen Johnson, two-time world indoor champion and 1996 Olympic gold medallist, will head the men's 60m field.

The 98th running of the event will feature more than 25 Olympians, top college and high school participants and a Fastest Kid in New York competition for eight and nine-year-olds.

First held in 1908, the Millrose Games is one of the longest-running invitational track meets and is a part of the U.S.A. Track and Field's annual Visa Championship Series.
