Man held, charged for Kilancholly murders
published: Wednesday | February 9, 2005

THE POLICE last night arrested and charged 31-year-old Jeffrey Perry, of Kilancholly, St. Mary, with three counts of murder arising from the deaths of three children in the parish last month.

The three siblings were found by their mother with their throats slashed on January 28. She had just returned from church.

Detective Corporal Fitzroy Palmer of the Highgate police said Perry, a security guard who is also known as 'Greg', was slapped with the charges about 8:00 p.m. last night.

He could not say when Perry will face the courts.

DAY OF FASTING

The family of the three children slain in the 'Kilancholly Massacre' in St. Mary late last month, has called for an international day of prayer and fasting tomorrow to have God reveal the child-killer in hiding.

"We are doing it so that the Lord will reveal the right person who has done this act," said Sylvia Bailey, an aunt of the slain children, who is also a devout Apostolic Christian. "We want the person to confess and we know that the Lord is able to reveal that information."

Fasting has been described as one of the most powerful of all Christian disciplines where many use the occasion to bring their needs closer to God.
