By Glenroy Sinclair, Staff ReporterTROY FRAZER wept openly yesterday as he stood in the blazing sun, watching detectives mill around the lifeless body of his sister, Karen Frazer, at the Sea Breeze waterfront in eastern Kingston.
As the police tried to determine the circumstances of the mentally challenged woman's death, Frazer would be later joined by other family members and close friends.
The police say they are awaiting a post-mortem report, but relatives pointed out that the 35-year-old woman had a wound to her head. Preliminary investigations suggest that the head wound might have been caused by a blunt object. But detectives probing the incident said the possibility exists that Ms. Frazer might have gone for a swim and hit her head on a rock.
PORT-MORTEM TO BE DONE
"We cannot confirm anything until after the post-mortem," said a member of the investigative team.
A family member who spoke with The Gleaner yesterday said Ms. Frazer was usually kept under close watch by the
family. Relatives said that shortly after 1:00 a.m., she woke up, found the house keys and let herself out of the house, at Hyslop Avenue, off Windward Road, in Rockfort.
This happened while other family members were asleep. It is alleged that she wondered off to a nearby bar, where she spoke to a man and then was not seen alive again. She was reported missing to the police.
At about 11:00 a.m. her nude body was fished from the sea, in the vicinity of Sea Breeze Avenue and Michael Manley Boulevard.
