ST. JAGO HIGH School girls and boys sprint relay teams left the inaugural Camperdown Classics on Saturday night at the Stadium East Complex smiling.

Both sprint relay teams won themselves $100,000 each to help with Penn Relays expenses, courtesy of 4E.

The St. Jago girls quartet of Kaydene Mason, Nickoda Patterson, Jhennel Brown and Sudain Davis recorded the fastest overall time, 46.50 seconds, required for the 'jackpot'. In doing so, the St. Jago Class One team, defeated St. Andrew (49.22) and Queen's (51.43).

However, the shock of the meet came when St. Jago's Class One boys raced to a 41.64, second upset victory over Camperdown and took the $100,000 4E lottery draw.

Andre Wise, Dwight Mullings, Omar Bromfield and Rasceive Grant led St. Jago to shock Camperdown (41.73) with World Junior 100m bronze medallist Ramaldo Rose. St.George's College were third in 42.13.

In the other relays, Camperdown (42.96) won Class Two over Calabar (44.81), but Calabar A bounced back to take Class Three in 48.84, ahead of their B team (49.79).

In the girls' section, Queen's (50.64) won in Class Two over St. Andrew (50.96); St. Andrew High (48.70) took Class Three ahead of Alpha (49.60) and Class Four (49.00) over Queen's (52.54).

The mile relay victories went to Queen's and Bog Walk boys. Queen's took the girls' event in 3:50.1, ahead of Alpha (4:01.2), while Bog Walk (3:24.4) took the boys' event over Greater Portmore (3:24.8).

Theo O'Connor of Campion, who won the boys' Class Two 1,500m in 4:08.28, and St. Andrew High's Shancha Lee, who took the girls' Class Three 800m in 2:20.10, were named top performers of the meet.
