By Paul-Andre Walker, Staff ReporterTHE JAMAICA Football Federa-tion's (JFF) annual congress has come and gone and many of the delegates are still in the dark as to how the allocation of some $125 million in match expenses and $82 million in overseas match expenses was accumulated.
The JFF had scheduled an executive meeting for yesterday at which members were expected to be briefed on the situation, however, the meeting was postponed and has been rescheduled for March 5.
Prior to the congress at the Fairy Hill Hotel in Portland on Sunday, questions regarding the income and expenditure of the JFF had come up in both correspondence and meetings between Manchester Football Association (MFA) president Dale Spencer and JFF general secretary Burchell Gibson.
The correspondences asked for a "listing of all amounts paid to or on behalf of members of the board and standing committees (including airfares, stipends, hotel accommodation etc ...)."
However, answers to that particular question, tabled among a number of others from as early as November 22, 2004 were not forthcoming at the congress because, according to Gibson, the accounts department hadn't finished itemising the accounts.
The questions arose after it was recognised that the JFF had received a record $308 million in 2004, while spending $320 million, from which 65 per cent came from local and international match expenses.
