One more 'Gideon' member held
published: Monday | February 21, 2005

ANOTHER MEMBER of the notorious Gideon Warriors gang was captured by Operation Kingfish during an operation carried out in Papine, St. Andrew, Saturday night.

Meanwhile, charges have been laid against the reputed leader of the gang Kevin Tyndale, otherwise called 'Richie Poo', and Yulando Hall, another member of the gang.

The Constabulary Communication Network (CCN) has not identified the man captured, but said he is suspected to be involved in the triple murder of Kimona Simpson, 20; Richard Miller, 24; and Kevin Parchment, nine, of Shervington district, Gordon Town, St. Andrew.

Tyndale, who is from Land Lease, St. Andrew, and Hall, who is from Hope Town Road, Kintyre, St. Andrew, have been charged with two counts of shooting with intent, wounding with intent and illegal possession of firearm.

The charges stem from an incident in January 2004, when the men reportedly opened fire on a police party when they tried to intercept a motor car the accused were travelling in. A policeman was shot and injured in the incident.
