Oscar week at the 'Palace'

THE PALACE Amusement Circuit will be rolling out the red carpet for their Oscar Week presentation.

Beginning today until Tuesday, March 1, this year's Oscar Week will feature re-runs of nine of the films nominated for the 77th Academy Awards.

A release from the Palace Amusement Company stated that Oscar Week has been observed for a number of years in recognition of the Annual Academy Awards, and also in response to requests by avid cinema-goers. The Oscar presentation will be on Sunday, February 27.

FEATURED FILMS

Among the featured films for the week are The Aviator, with eleven nominations; Million Dollar Baby, with seven nominations; Ray, with six nominations; Sideways, with five nominations; Collateral which is nominated for Film Editing, and stars Jamie Foxx who is nominated for best actor in a supporting role; Spiderman 2 nominated for Visual Effects, Sound Mixing and Sound Editing, and The Incredibles for Animated Feature Film, Sound Editing and Sound Mixing.

Oscar Week begins today with Sideways, Collateral and The Village.
