Still missing - No word of Cleon Scott after two weeks
published: Wednesday | February 23, 2005

By Glenroy Sinclair, Staff Reporter

THE PAST two weeks have been traumatic for Aaron Scott. His son Cleon, 19, has been missing since Wednesday, February 9 and he has no idea if he is still alive.

"It is two weeks now and I have not heard anything from him or about him," said the 45-year-old gardener.

Reports are that the teenager who lived with his father and brother on Bryce Hill Road in August Town, St. Andrew, woke up on Ash Wednesday, minutes to 5:00 a.m., and went to attend to his backyard farm.

"His clothes and all his belongings are still here, only him is missing," his father said.

POLICE REPORT

A report from the Constabulary Communication Network (CCN) described the teenager of fair complexion, medium built, about six feet tall. When last seen, he was wearing a blue jeans jacket, a pair of underpants and black slippers.

The police are asking anyone with information that can lead to his whereabouts to contact the August Town police 927-2184, Operation Kingfish at 811, Crime Stop 1-888-991-4000 or the nearest police station.

While a special select group of policemen are in the process of being trained to respond to distress calls, such as kidnapping, head of Operation Kingfish, Assistant Commissioner Glenmore Hinds disclosed that Operation Kingfish and the Organised Crime Investigation Division (OCID) were the elite teams involved in the investigation of missing persons.

More than 10 persons have been reported missing over the past five weeks. Of that nunber, only one of the victims has been confirmed dead. He is Hurdley Black of Spring Field district, St. Elizabeth. Reports are that he went missing on February 5. About four days later his body was found with multiple gunshot wounds.
