St George's seek KO in Bull Pen
published: Wednesday | March 2, 2005

RETURN-LEG matches in the Red Stripe Champions Cup national knockout competition kicks off today with three matches at 3:00 p.m.

St. George of Portland are the only team playing today with a win from the first leg, after utilising their home advantage to edge Bull Bay 1-0.

They will now enter the Bull Pen in east St. Andrew, trying to maintain their one-goal lead.

However, they could fall prey to the Barrington Gaynor-led team which includes former national player Milton Griffiths.

St. Catherine-based Newland will take no prisoners as they do battle with St. James' Salt Spring at Prison Oval.

The tie is interestingly poised at 1-1 apiece and the home team, Newland, should have the advantage over the MoBay team.

The third encounter is also evenly-balanced after Sandy Bay and Lacers played to a 0-0 draw in the first leg.

Lacers of Trelawny couldn't take advantage of playing at home last week and could pay the price when they visit Kenilworth, the home of Sandy Bay in Hanover.
