THE REGION'S fastest bowler, Tino Best, is back. The 23-year-old Best, who was sidelined by a back injury since the West Indies' Test series in England last year, is one of two changes for this match to the Barbados team, which arrived at the Norman Manley International Airport last night.
Barbados face Jamaica at Chedwin Park tomorrow and Best said he's here "to keep it jiggy".
He was forced to work on his bowling action but despite that, he said batsmen can expect to face the fire.
When asked if he is bowling at the same pace, Best quickly said: "Yeh, definitely ... you know when I come to Jamaica I keep it jiggy, because Jamaica is my place, I love Jamaica," he said.
OPPORTUNITY TO PLAY AGAIN
He continued: "I am just looking forward to the opportunity to play again. It has been seven months I haven't played any competitive cricket, but I think it's just an important game for me to get back into the mix of things.
"I have been doing a lot of work, I had a personal trainer, so I think I am a little fitter. I think my action has changed a bit and I am working harder," he pointed out.
Meanwhile, Captain Courtney Browne said they are here to salvage some pride.
Browne said the batting is his team's major problem.
Barbados are at the bottom of the six-team table with 23 points.
Squad:Courtney Browne (captain), Tino Best, Ian Bradshaw, Patrick Browne, Sherwin Campbell, Corey Collymore, Fidel Edwards, Ryan Hinds, Martin Nurse, Jason Parris, Dale Richards, Dwayne Smith, Kenroy Williams.
