First Global officially opens Mandeville branch
published: Thursday | March 10, 2005

Don Wehby and Sandra Shirley

FIRST GLOBAL Financial Service (FGFS) will launch its Mandeville office at Shop 28a, Midway Mall, Mandeville today.

A member of the GraceKennedy Financial Services Division, FGFS was formed in April 2004 as a part of the division's rebranding and consolidation exercise, during which George & Branday Securities Ltd. assumed the First Global brand name, becoming First Global Financial Services Limited.

On July 1, 2004 FGFS acquired the operations of FGB Securities Limited, First Global Stock- brokers Limited, GraceKennedy Properties Limited, First Global Insurance Limited, and Grace Pension Management Limited, creating a formidable force within the financial hemisphere.

SERVICES EXPANDED

In just under a year, FGFS has extended its reach to Montego Bay and Mandeville and is in the process of setting up an office in Sovereign Centre, Liguanea, St. Andrew. The introduction of additional offices is geared towards fulfilling the investment needs of Jamaicans all over the island and will be supported by account and business development executives.

The primary focus of FGFS is personalised service, which will be extended to its clients wherever they are, at their convenience; this is the standard that will complement each office.

The Mandeville office, which has been open since mid-February, will be officially introduced to the residents of Mandeville at a cocktail reception to be held at Bloomfield's Great House, 8 Perth Road, Mandeville, commencing at 6 p.m. today. In attendance will be Group Chairman Mr. Douglas Orane, Deputy Chairman and Chief Operating Officer Mr. Don Wehby, and President Sandra Shirley, who will be addressing the gathering.
