Digicel, we are watching you
published: Sunday | March 13, 2005

The Editor, Sir:

Digicel, having introduced the public to Webflex, an
Internet-based option to top up your Digicel phone using any credit card for payment, I noticed that as at March 11, 2005 only NCB Key Cards can be used. Is this some agreement with NCB to corner the market? I do believe Digicel has a responsibility to its customers to advise that there would be such a change and why. How does the Fair Trading Commission view this? Were the other card issuers informed of this change?

As a Digicel customer, I am very disappointed as this has become my principal method for purchasing credit for my phone and demand an explanation as to why the service has now been made available to only Key Card holders. Digicel be careful;
West Indies cricket and now Credit Card. Remember, we are watching you.

I am etc.,

SNAPPY
