JEF hosts labour code discussion tomorrow
published: Tuesday | March 15, 2005

THE JAMAICA Employers' Federation (JEF) will hold the first in its Inn Chambers Series 2005 tomorrow at the Jamaica Employers Federation Conference Room on Ruthven Road starting at 5:00 p.m.

The panel discussion will be on the labour code and will include panelists such as industrial relations consultant Robert Baugh and attorneys at law, Angela Robertson (Livingston, Alexander & Levy) and Gregory Reid, (Ziadie Reid and Associates).

Launched in March 2003, the series is designed to address issues affecting the employer with regards to labour-related issues in the workplace, reinforcing JEF's commitment to empower employers with relevant and current information for their guidance and protection in their work environs.

As has been done for the past two years, JEF will bring together a cadre of practitioners astute in matters concerning the labour code, labour market legislations, the Pensions Act, and other labour-related issues, providing consultative information for small and medium-sized companies or businesses at a reasonable cost. Other Inn Chambers series will be held in June and October of this year.
