Church's help
published: Friday | March 18, 2005

THE EDITOR, Sir: THE CHURCH in Jamaica should seize this opportunity to glorify God, rising to the challenge of preaching and teaching His Word. The government did not wait until it is too late to call upon the Church for help.

God's timing is always perfect. So instead of finding fault with what the government is asking of the Church, the Church should be asking the government what and how soon do we begin.

In the book of Genesis, Joseph was sold into slavery into Egypt by his brothers. He had every right to be bitter and vengeful against them. Instead, he allowed God to use him right where he was to be a blessing to those with whom he found himself.

With this attitude, God was with him and promoted him to be head over the nation of Egypt and over the world for that matter, because during the seven years of famine, everyone came to Egypt to buy grain.

What the Devil meant for evil, God is turning it around for our good. So clearly, use what God is handing you to make bread for His kingdom. Use this opportunity to win souls for the Kingdom of God.

He has already gone before you and made the way prosperous. Yield yourselves to Him as willing vessels.

The God of the Universe is a big God and He knows what He is doing. Be courageous! Be blessed. God is with you. I will be fasting and praying with you.

I am, etc.,

MINISTER LORAINE
