CONSUMER GOODS giants Unilever and Lascelles Distribution Services launched Sedal (sounds exotic doesn't it?), a new line of hair care products.
Guests filed into the Quad nightclub on Tuesday, March 15 for the unveiling of the product. Sedal has four variants to it which cater to a specific type of hair. Sedal Keraforce cares for chemically treated hair and afro type hair. Sedal Ceramides treats dry, dull or damaged hair; Sedal Vital Colour for colour treated hair and Sedal Hidraloe for the curly and wavy hair.
Guests waited eagerly to find out about the products, and some took the opportunity to peruse the samples set up on display stands in different corners of the Voodoo Lounge. Via a projector presentation, the ladies were wooed mercilessly to try the product. Acknowledging that every woman, regardless of hair type, has bad hair days, the distributors of Sedal assured 'we understand what your hair means to you'.
ATTRACTIVE QUALITIES
And why shouldn't we believe them, considering that the Elida Hair Institute in Paris created the products after painstaking and extensive research? One of the attractive qualities of Sedal is that it contains natural ingredients including aloe vera. Oh, and gentlemen, please don't feel left out. We have been assured that these products are not just for the women; they are for your hair as well. So expect to see the Sedal brand in pharmacies, supermarkets and wholesale outlets island-wide. By the way, the cost, in our humble opinion is quite competitive with the other hair care brands, but we'll let you find out for yourselves.
HAIR ON PARADE
The highlight of the evening was the parade of models who had all used Sedal and wanted to show the brilliant results. To the sound of Lose My Breath by Destiny's Child, the models twisted and turned, showing off their new, rejuvenated hair.
So the presentation aside, it was time for some dancing as the house DJs got into action.
