Enjoy an evening of peace with Deepak Chopra
published: Friday | March 18, 2005

HE LEFT a lasting impression when he addressed hundreds at the Conference Centre in Kingston in 2001, and this time, renowned motivational speaker/author and doctor, Deepak Chopra, will deliver his message of lasting peace to Jamaicans on April 4, at the National Indoor Sports Complex .

The board of Maxfield Park Children's Home has organised the event titled "An Evening with Deepak

a celebration of peace" to benefit the home. In her statement at the launch, Ruby Martin, chairman of the home said, "Dr. Chopra's message is especially timely given the spiralling murder statistics threatening to overwhelm us at this time.

Dr. Chopra is the author of over 30 books and his latest, Peace is the Way: Ending War and Violence in our Time, outlines his vision for "a world within our reach where we are instruments of peace instead of war."
He will use his two and a half hours to share with participants the tools for gaining the power to end war in our tIme.

Tickets for the seminar are available at Viewer's Choice, Upper Manor Park Plaza, Sangster's Book Stores and What's On Jamaica at Devon House.
