THE EDITOR, Sir:
PLEASE ALLOW me space to ask questions of both Portia Simpson Miller and Dr. Peter Phillips.
(1) Please expound on the matter of crime and garrison constituencies in Jamaica. What are the strategies to curtail crime and to restrain men from harming each other? "A wise government restrains men from harming each other." (Thomas Jefferson, 1806)
(2) Government and fiscal responsibilities. What are the plans to prevent ministers of government from utilising unfair advantage to make themselves rich overnight?
(3) How do candidates enter politics as poor people and become in control and own millions of dollars in assets and cash?
(4) How many schools will be built over what time to educate the young population? What are the strategies to educate the Jamaican youth (plan for
education the next 20 years)?
(5) Background reference disclosure on both candidates.
We, as citizens need to see the vision or the dream of these candidates for Jamaica. More darker days are ahead if the decadence and murders are not curtailed. The crime operatives do not fear God, moreso man. We must keep hope alive, because there is a solution. The next prime minister must find the solution.
I am, etc.,
