Excellent administration
published: Monday | March 28, 2005

THE EDITOR, Sir:

Commendations must be extended to Mrs. Jacqueline Darwood for her insightfulness and pro-activity in ensuring the safety of the public during the VMBS School Boys' and Girls' Championship.

This year my goddaughter went to Champs in the company of an adult, a vice-principal and an older cousin, both of them not street-smart at all.

During the fracas, they thought that the mobs were heading toward the grandstand and they fled, leaving the adult.

In the separation, the cousin held on to her and both left for home, not knowing which direction to go. However, on reaching safely outside there was a bus going their direction.

Another round of congratulations should be given to Mr. Myrie of Wolmer's Boys' School who has done excellently with his students. The school, scholastically, has topped all other boys schools in performance and still was able to do tremendously well in sports. Mr. Myrie, you should give lessons in administration.

I am, etc.,

J.M. FLETCHER
