New market survey for Skills Jamaica 2005

SKILLS JAMAICA 2005 will this year utilise a new touch poll survey system to carry out evaluation of the event by competitors and attendees.

The Skills Jamaica competition will see 380 skilled Jamaicans vying for supremacy in over 50 skill areas at the National Arena from March 30-31, and will also serve to promote the creation of a pool of qualified and competent persons who can work in Jamaica and elsewhere.

The organisers have secured the services of TouchPoll Jamaica to carry out this process, which will virtually eliminate the need for paper based evaluation. The survey questionnaires will be designed on the touchscreen computer terminal, which will see respondent merely touching the screen to provide feedback evaluation. The systems, can be customised to the research need of any client and have been gaining traction in regards to many local events recently.

The Skills Jamaica competition spans 10 occupational areas from key sectors of the Jamaican economy which include: agriculture, apparel, art & craft, automotive, beauty services, building and construction, entertainment, hospitality/culinary arts, industrial maintenance and information technology.
