Two meet tragic deaths on Easter Sunday
published: Monday | March 28, 2005

TWO MEN lost their lives in separate incidents yesterday. Dead are Cebert Henry, of Belmont district in Westmoreland, and Oneil Hudson, of Seaview Gardens, St. Andrew.

Henry was killed in a traffic accident in Westmoreland, while Hudson was shot dead by unknown gunmen in St. Andrew.

The Constabulary Communic-ation Network (CCN) is reporting that at about 11:45 a.m., 34-year-old Henry was riding a Honda CBR motorcycle along the Kingswood main road, with pillion passenger Yanique McDonald. A cow wandered onto the roadway and the motorcycle crashed into the animal. Henry and McDonald sustained injuries and were taken to the Savannah-la-Mar Hospital, where Henry was pronounced dead and the young girl admitted in serious condition.

Meanwhile, Oneil Hudson, a 32-year-old bus operator was driving his Toyota minibus along Marcus Garvey Drive about 5:00 a.m., when a white motor car drove alongside him. The occupants in the vehicle immediately opened fire hitting him. The police were summoned and Hudson was taken to the Kingston Public Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
