Kilancholly trial fails to get under way
published: Friday | April 1, 2005

Devon Evans, Gleaner Writer

PORT MARIA, St. Mary:

The trial of 31-year-old Jeffrey Perry of Kilancholly district in St. Mary again failed to get under way in the Port Maria Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday.

When he appeared before Resident Magistrate Cresencia Brown, Perry was still without an attorney and the court was told that his legal aide assessment was not yet completed. The RM then ordered that he be remanded in custody until April 14.

This is the fourth court appearance for Perry who is facing three counts of murder arising from the brutal slaying of three children in Kilan-cholly on January 28.

Perry was slapped with the charges in early February after he reportedly confessed to killing 15-year-old Dwayne Davidson, 13-year-old Sue-Ann Gordon and four-year-old Shadece Williams.
