DESMOND BLADES
THE GLEANER Company unreservedly apologises to Facey Commodity Company Limited ('Facey'), its officers and stakeholders for the lead article in Wednesday Business yesterday which alleged outstanding tax obligations on the part of Facey. The Gleaner acknowledges that the allegations are untrue and completely baseless and were not worthy of publication in the first instance. The Gleaner regrets these errors and apologises to Facey, its officers and stakeholders, for any inconvenience caused.
The Gleaner also acknowledges that there were other inaccuracies in the article relating to acquisitions that Facey was supposedly bidding for (in Jamaica) and had supposedly acquired (in Curacao and Aruba). These assertions were unfortunate factual errors. The Gleaner regrets these errors and apologies to Facey, its officers and stakeholders for any inconvenience caused.
