Plea from Portmore
published: Tuesday | April 19, 2005

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I AM calling out to the Jamaica Civil Service Association who signed off our rights to the government.

This government has shown us that it has blatant disregard for the effect of the Memorandum of Understanding on our welfare.

There have been increases in almost every area critical for our livelihood.

I am disgusted by the approach the government has taken to 'balance the budget'. Who put the people first?

I am pleading to the civil service association to speak out and represent us as mandated to do.

We are hungry for your support. We can't take it anymore.

I am, etc.,
