published: Tuesday | April 19, 2005

Paul A. Reid, Staff Reporter

WESTERN BUREAU:

WILFRED SMITH led a second half blitz as Seba United blanked Harmony 5-0 in their rescheduled Captain's Bakery Western Confederation Super League semi-finals first leg game played at the Elliston Wakeland Centre.

Smith, a former national Under 23 representative, scored a hat-trick to take his tally to 28 on the season as the St James club scored four times in a span of 24 minutes in the second half after leading 1-0 at half time.

POSTPONED GAME

The game was scheduled to take place on Saturday but was postponed due to the heavy rains that affected the western section of the island. The return leg will be played at Jarrett Park on Wednesday starting at 5:00 p.m.

Smith gave Seba the lead after 29 minutes and added the others in the 64th and 88th minutes while Kemar James added one in the 81st and Iton Scott scored in the 71st.

Meanwhile, Granville will take a 3-0 lead into this afternoon's return leg game against Mt Salem at Jarrett Park after Saturday's first leg at Sam Sharpe Teachers' College.
