Staying in touch with consumers
published: Thursday | April 21, 2005

Joseph Cunningham, Gleaner Writer

SOME BUSINESSES consider customer feedback almost as essential as cash flow. But getting customers to take time out to share their thoughts is not as simple as it sounds. This is sometimes problematic.

Well, there is an alternative to the conventional paper based method of research.

There is Touch Poll Jamaica.

Created by Francis and Michael Williams, the company, located at 17 Tewix Crescent in St. Andrew, is an independent distributor for Touch Poll Inc. This a Florida-based business that creates customer service surveys that take advantage of today's technology.

According to Francis Williams, customers will find the touch-screen system an uncomplicated way to register their opinions, as in some instances it has been found to be ten times faster than polling by clipboard or telephone.

"As soon as the consumer enters the information it is tabulated automatically and full colour reports can be printed immediately as graphs and cross-tabulation tables, all by touch," he explained.

"Getting the quantitative data businesses need to create plans or to validate current plans is simple and affordable using the Touch Poll software," the entrepreneur stated.

Francis Williams said the user friendly touch-screen method is designed to minimise response time, allowing businesses to more effectively assess strategic initiatives and gain a competitive edge.
