THE EDITOR, Sir: IS THERE anything uglier than a mob murder in a community? We can delegate to a suitable category a heinous act
committed by a criminal, isolate it in our minds.


Let him enjoy himself
THE EDITOR, Sir: CELEBRATING 70 years is a milestone! As a Jamaican, I am very happy to hear that the Prime Minister celebrated his 70th birthday in fine style ­ his style!


Killer drivers on the loose
THE EDITOR, Sir: LET US face it ­ we all know them, almost as well as they know themselves.

We drive with them on these roads every day. We see them on their vicious missions...


Burning garbage
THE EDITOR, Sir: AH THE smell of garbage in the morning. The billowing of white smoke is not for the vote of the new pope. This smoke is the fumes of burnt garbage being rammed down our throats.


When mothers take charge
THE EDITOR, Sir: ON MARCH 23, responding to the rising tide of violence in a letter to The Gleaner , I wrote: "Without a ban on firearms, this year and for years to come Jamaican mothers will continue to sacrifice their sons...
