Tivoli player, coach nab top awards
published: Thursday | April 28, 2005

TIVOLI GARDENS' coach, Glendon 'Admiral' Bailey, and Kevin 'Pele' Wilson of Arnett Gardens have respectively been named March's Coach and Player of the Month for the Wray and Nephew-sponsored National Premier League.

Bailey was given the award on the heels of his team's performance for the month which saw it win two games and draw one.

Although Waterhouse also accomplished that feat, Tivoli Gardens and Bailey were been given the nod based on a plus-three goal difference while Waterhouse had a plus-two difference. Even though both teams scored three home goals and one away goal, Waterhouse conceded two goals while Tivoli gave up only one.

ALL-IMPORTANT GOAL

Wilson achieved Player of the Month honours for not only his participation in all three games but also for scoring a decisive goal. His all-important goal came against Arlington FC and it was good enough to secure all three points for his team.

The Player of the Month award is based on the number of goals scored, games played, cards received and the impact that the player has on the clubs overall performance.

Coach of the Month is chosen based on the team's maximum points tally, goal tally, goals conceded, goal difference and away wins.
