published: Friday | April 29, 2005

Rasbert Turner, Gleaner Writer

SPANISH TOWN, St. Catherine:

RELATIVES OF a 53-year-old farmer, who has gone missing for nearly a month now, have expressed grave concerns and are hoping that all is well.

The missing man has been identified as Joseph George Richards, 6'1" tall and 150 pounds. He is of a clear complexion and is from Springfield district in St. Catherine.

The Gleaner learned that on April 9 this year at around 9:15 p.m., Richards was seen walking in the area. A white Toyota motor car drove up as he turned on to a track. Two occupants in the car alighted and went in Richard's direction. A struggle ensued and Richards was seen going into the vehicle. He has not been seen since.

The Guys Hill Police acknowledged that a missing person report was lodged at the station and that the police are vigorously investigating the matter.
