THE ANNUAL Jamaica Horticultural Society (JHS) flower show took place at Hope Gardens in St. Andrew last weekend. As is customary, exhibitors showed off their best in blooms and foliage and some establishments went the extra mile to create fantastic outdoor displays.

However, it was the view of many experts in the horticulture circles that the show lacked the potential grandeur benefiting a 50th anniversary event.
