THE EDITOR, Sir:
I MUST take this opportunity to congratulate the organisers of the Eden Gardens Wellness and Lifestyle Expo held last weekend at Eden Gardens, on an excellent, wholesome and informative family event.
Lifestyle and wellness have become passwords in today's society, but unfortunately there are those who have jumped on it like a bandwagon with the sole aim of enriching their pockets rather than lives, out of this billion-dollar industry.
Eden Gardens provided the perfect backdrop for this kind of event and the awards dinner, which recognised practitioners in the field of wellness as well as others who have contributed of their time and talents, was truly appreciated.
Mention must be made of the speaker on the opening night, Dr. Frankson, a Trinidadian wellness and lifestyle expert who gave a stimulating presentation. I am compelled to share one piece of information that he passed on. He said that whatever our diet and our needs, the single most important lifestyle enhancer is exercise. He said he could not overemphasise the importance of a daily exercise regimen.
I am, etc,
