School bus attacked by gunmen
published: Friday | May 13, 2005

A TOYOTA Coaster bus transporting more than 30 students from Kingston to Portmore, St. Catherine, was attacked by heavily armed gunmen yesterday along Maxfield Avenue in Kingston.

The high powered weapons punched several holes in the windscreen of the bus.

Despite the aggression, the driver maintained his cool, quickly completed a u-turn in the busy street and drove to the Half-Way Tree Police Station.

A spokesperson at the Constabulary Communication Network confirmed the shooting, but said there were no injuries.
