N Manley, Eltham in title replay
published: Thursday | May 19, 2005

THOMAS

The rain-affected Colts Under-16 final between Eltham and Norman Manley will be replayed today and tomorrow at Melbourne Oval, starting at 10:00 a.m. each day.

For two consecutive afternoons, rains cut short the match last week, with Eltham in the driver's seat.

Replying to Eltham's 158, Norman Manley were reeling at 74 for six.

This time around, both teams will be looking to improve on their low-scoring performance of the first clash.

One player who can certainly cash in on the second opportunity is Jamaican schoolboy's highest individual scorer, Schacoya Thomas, who only managed 46 last week for Eltham.

Thomas, who scored a record 324 not out against St. Catherine in the Grace Shield final earlier this season, should get support from Romio Parker and Romel Duncan in the batting department, while Fredrick Hermitt, Andre Scott and Oshane Baugh should carry the bulk of the bowling.

Marcello Brooks, Rohan Free-man and Nicholas Ferron did the damage for Norman Maley with the ball last time and while they will be hoping for the same success this time around, they will need a lot of runs from Horace Miller, Rohan Williams, Sidue Hunter, Rohan Freeman, and Winston Walker.
