Crime is out of hand
published: Friday | May 20, 2005

THE EDITOR, Sir:

WITH ALL that is taking place in our beautiful island Jamaica, what is the government doing to help the country to fight against the crimes and extortion? Take a look at Maurice Azan, for example, a man who helped the community. Why would you want to kill your bread and butter? The cops are not getting paid enough to fight the crimes in Jamaica. They are not properly equipped so they are afraid to face these gunmen who are carrying bigger guns than them. What is the country going to?

Soon our tourists will be heading to other islands and then the country will be hurt even more. The crime is out of hand and these guys should be punished severely once they are caught. These bad men and women should be put down once they are caught doing the evil. I never heard of a place where you have dons running the community. What is really going on in our homeland?

PJ, shape up or step down!

I am. etc.,
