THERE IS now a place where people who are physically challenged can shop for products to make life easier.

Independent Living, which is located at 10 Merrick Avenue, Kingston 10, opened its doors to the public yesterday and is stocked with a wide range of products ranging from mobility aids, convalescent chairs, wheel chairs, talking watches, clocks, calculators and telephone instruments, canes, protective bed-wetting devices, to instruments to help persons with erectile dysfunctions.

Owner Janice Graham said the facility was established out of her inability to source products to assist her mother who was temporarily disabled two years ago when she fell and broke her hips.

"So, Independent Living is a caring store just for individuals who are physically challenged," she said.
